For families

Knowing they’re okay, without hovering.

If someone you love wants to stay in their own home, but you find yourself checking your phone at odd hours wondering if everything’s alright — Halo is built for that. Gentle, non-intrusive monitoring across the whole home. Real-time reassurance for you. Dignity and independence for them.

What it does

Halo continuously watches for the things that matter — without asking your relative to remember anything, wear anything they don’t want to, or answer any check-in calls.

  • Movement patterns across the home — knowing they got out of bed, made a cup of tea, spent longer than usual in the bathroom
  • Falls and long-lie detection — if something happens, the right person is notified, quickly
  • Vital signs if a wearable is worn — heart rate, activity, sleep quality — trend patterns over time
  • Environmental safety — carbon monoxide, air quality, whether the front door has been left open at 2am
  • Sleep and rest patterns — early signs of infection, changes in cognition, or medication issues often show up here first

Everything happens in the background. Your relative doesn’t have to interact with any of it.

What you see

A single app view of your family member’s day. You choose how much detail — some families want a green dot that says “all’s well”, others want the full picture.

  • Right now: a summary of the last few hours — activity, key events, any alerts
  • This week: patterns — is sleep normal? Are meals happening at usual times? Any concerns worth mentioning next visit?
  • Alerts: only when they matter. Halo is engineered against alarm fatigue with per-person adaptive thresholds — you don’t get a ping every time a door opens
  • Care team: if their GP, community nurse, or a paid carer is involved, you can invite them into the view (with consent)

You can also step back completely and only be contacted when there’s genuinely something to know.

Dignity is the point

Halo is designed not to feel like surveillance. That means:

  • No cameras — none of the monitoring involves video or audio recording. Ever.
  • Consent lives with your relative — they can see what’s being monitored, who has access, and turn things off. You cannot override that.
  • Nothing is shared without their say-so — including with you. If they want to keep something private, they can.
  • Aged-in-place is the goal — the platform exists to help someone stay independent longer. Not to move them “for their own good”.

What it costs

£129 per month, all in

Family bundle · ex VAT · rolling monthly, 30-day notice

One home, one monitored person, up to 15 rented devices installed. Covers the software, the sensors, the wearable if wanted, install, and support.

If your relative already has a smart-home setup, some of the compatible devices connect at zero hardware cost — talk to us and we’ll tell you what fits.

For more than one relative, more than one home, or a custom alert profile, the standard modular pricing applies and often works out lower per device.

Getting started

  1. Have a conversation with your relative first. This works best when it’s their idea, not something imposed.
  2. Book a 20-minute call — no pressure, just talking through their situation and whether Halo is a fit.
  3. We visit or ship — depending on where in the UK, we come and install, or send a pre-configured kit with support to set it up.
  4. First month is settling — thresholds calibrate to your relative’s normal, alerts tune down over 2–3 weeks.

If it isn’t for them, cancel any time with 30 days’ notice. We’d rather you left than stayed unhappy.

Twenty minutes. No pressure.

We’ll talk through your situation and be honest about whether Halo is a fit.
