Accessibility Statement

DXN Design Ltd is committed to making haloconnectedhealth.com accessible to as many people as possible. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as our target standard. This statement explains what we’ve done, what we know isn’t right yet, and how to get in touch if you hit a barrier.

Effective date: 6 July 2026 · Last reviewed: 6 July 2026

Scope

This statement applies to haloconnectedhealth.com — the marketing website. It does not cover:

  • The Halo Connected Health platform used by care providers (separate accessibility documentation available under NDA to customers)
  • Third-party services embedded on this site (Plausible Analytics, Complianz consent banner) — these have their own accessibility statements

What we’ve done

We have taken these measures to make this website accessible:

  • Semantic HTML — headings, lists, tables, forms marked up with the correct elements, not just styled with CSS
  • Keyboard navigation — every interactive element (links, buttons, form fields, cookie banner controls) is reachable and operable with a keyboard
  • Visible focus states — 3px outline offset 2px on every focusable element, meeting WCAG 2.2 focus-visible requirements
  • Skip-to-content link — appears when tabbing from page start so screen-reader and keyboard users can jump past the navigation
  • Colour contrast — body text on background at ≥ 4.5:1; large text and UI components at ≥ 3:1
  • Alt text — meaningful alternative text on informative images; empty alt="" on decorative images
  • Responsive design — content reflows down to 320px wide without horizontal scrolling; text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content
  • Form labels — every form field has a visible, programmatically-associated label; error messages are inline and announced
  • Cookie banner — Complianz banner is keyboard-operable and screen-reader-accessible; accept and decline options are equally prominent

Compliance status

We assess this website as partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA as of the last-reviewed date above. Known limitations are listed below.

We test using a combination of:

  • Automated tools: axe DevTools, Lighthouse, WAVE
  • Manual testing: keyboard-only navigation, screen readers (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS/iOS)
  • Real-user feedback

Full audit reports are available on request to accessibility@haloconnectedhealth.com.

Known limitations

We’re honest about what isn’t right yet:

  • PDF documents — some downloadable procurement packs are not fully tagged for screen readers. We are re-authoring these as native HTML pages progressively. Alternative formats available on request.
  • Video content — where video is added in future, we will provide captions and transcripts. No video is currently embedded.
  • Icon-only buttons — a small number of decorative icon buttons in the block editor may lack visible labels; we are auditing and fixing.
  • Complianz banner colour contrast — the default banner may fall marginally short of AA contrast for the “manage preferences” link; we have overridden this via CSS but the fix is not yet published everywhere.

If you find a barrier we haven’t listed, please tell us so we can add it to this list and prioritise a fix.

Getting help and reporting problems

If you find a barrier on this site, or need content in a different format:

Response time: we aim to respond within 5 working days and to resolve or provide an alternative within 30 days. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you why and give you an interim workaround.

Alternative formats: we can provide the same information as large-print, plain-text, or by phone — please tell us what would help.

Enforcement procedure (public bodies)

If DXN Design Ltd is supplying this website to a UK public body (e.g. an NHS trust or ICS), the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 apply. In that case, if you are not happy with our response you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS): equalityadvisoryservice.com.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 6 July 2026. It was based on:

  • Self-assessment using axe DevTools, Lighthouse and WAVE (July 2026)
  • Manual keyboard and screen-reader walkthrough of every published page (July 2026)
  • Review of the theme’s default block markup

The statement is reviewed at least annually and whenever the site undergoes significant structural change.
