CQC
How Halo supports the CQC Fundamental Standards.
The Care Quality Commission’s Fundamental Standards define the minimum acceptable level of care for regulated providers in England. Halo doesn’t ‘do’ CQC compliance for you — but it makes evidencing every standard dramatically faster. Here’s how each standard maps.
Our position, in detail
Regulation 9 — Person-centred care
Every care plan in Halo is resident-centred by construction. Preferences, life history, and communication needs are first-class fields. Care plan reviews are tracked with mandatory reflection prompts.
Regulation 10 — Dignity and respect
Family view (opt-in) is deliberately designed to share wellbeing indicators without exposing sensor data — dignity-preserving. Camera-based devices are never mandatory; Halo prefers contactless sensors.
Regulation 11 — Consent
Explicit consent tracking per resident, per data-use purpose. Where a resident lacks capacity, Halo tracks the appointed decision-maker and the specific decisions delegated, per DoLS-aligned process.
Regulation 12 — Safe care and treatment
Alerts fire on safe-envelope deviations. Medication administration errors flagged in real-time. Fall detection with per-resident sensitivity. Full audit trail available in one click for the inspector.
Regulation 13 — Safeguarding
Safeguarding disclosures logged with mandatory escalation to designated safeguarding lead. Unauthorised access attempts logged and reviewed weekly.
Regulation 17 — Good governance
Every KLOE (Key Line of Enquiry) has an evidence pack ready to run. Roll-up dashboards for the registered manager. Monthly compliance report auto-generated.
Regulation 18 — Staffing
Rota integration allows Halo to route alerts to whoever is actually on shift, not a static team list. Shift handover logs prove continuity of care.
Regulation 20 — Duty of candour
When a notifiable safety incident occurs, Halo logs the disclosure to the affected person or advocate, with timestamped record of the conversation and follow-up actions.
